Our company
PIN is a consortium company with a majority non-profit public participation. It was established as an association in 1992 and on 3rd June 1999 it became a limited liability consortium company (S.c.r.l.).
PIN supports itself financially through contributions, agreements with partners and external bodies, and the implementation of research and training projects. In the elaboration of these conventions, the new University was opened up and opened to dialogue with the Society and the Institutions, which was desired by everyone.
In 2003, PIN obtained the ISO 9001 quality certification. With this recognition, PIN is proposed as a subject with advanced knowledge and operational skills, able to organize services for teaching and research at a qualitatively high level.

Our mission wants to propose ourselves as a network reality between the University of Florence and the local economic and political fabric, in order to guarantee continuous training to students and managers in order to be able to provide the skills required by needs of the world of work, to use innovative tools to create new perspectives, to give life to research, to build relationships.

Our vision is to be a nationally and internationally recognized reality for the highest standards of teaching and for high results of academic and applied research, so that it can unite the University, private companies and public bodies, in a convergence of objectives and interests, to guarantee scientific-cultural progress and sustainable development for future generations.

Il PIN, essendo una società consortile, è composto da diversi organi, disposti secondo il seguente organigramma.
Our organizational structure
PIN is a company that effectively integrates all the essential structures and services to better support the activities of its 3 areas:
1) Research and services for companies - This area coordinates the planning and execution of all the research activities.
2) High education - This area structures and organizes higher education courses able to provide participants the necessary skills to meet the requests of the world of work.
3) University - PIN has been managing the University Campus, a branch of the University of Florence, for over 20 years.
In addition, PIN uses 6 Offices (Administration & Purchasing, ICT, Communication, Reception, Library, Payroll) that transversally perform useful services for the 3 Areas.
